
Summer Reading Challenge – Art Workshops. 2021

Creative Art Activities inspired by Wild World Heroes Summer Reading Challenge
Free Creative workshops for all the Family. Drop-in. Gyllyngdune Gardens, near the bandstand. 10-3pm.
These workshops have been organised by Falmouth Art Gallery and Library with funding from Arts Council England.
We hope you have fun and don’t forget to sign up for the summer reading challenge at Falmouth Library.
All these events are plastic free.
29th July. 10-3pm. Drop-in.

Make your own bug hotel
Make a wonderful home for bugs. Decorate a bug hotel and then fill it with bamboo, shells, sticks, stones and twigs! Put it in your garden and see how many bugs move in.
5th August. 10-3pm. Drop-in

Aboriginal dot art- Paint an endangered animal
Choose from a list of endangered animals and paint an animal using only doweling dipped in paint. You can also add a scene or background to your picture.
12th August. 10-3pm. Drop-in.

Make a printable bird stamp
Drawing from bird silhouettes come and design your own stamp. once you have made your stamp, you can use it to print your own artwork, cards and wallpaper.
19th August. 10-3pm. Drop-in.

Animal Masks
Making animal masks. Collage a mask using card, feathers and tissue paper. What animal will you be?
26th August. 10-3pm. Drop-in

Make a shell wind chime
Using shells and wooden beads come and make your own wind chime. See what patterns you can create in your wind chime.
2nd Sept. 10-3pm. Drop-in.

Make a paper plate tropical fish
Using coloured card and paper plates come and create a tropical fish to hang in your room.
